Proven leadership. Community first.
Dianne Anderson is a lifelong Midlander grounded in faith, family, freedom, and fiscal responsibility. She believes county government should be transparent, accountable, and focused on real results for taxpayers, families, and neighborhoods.
Dianne has spent her life serving Midland. From the school board to community leadership roles, she’s always worked to solve problems, not score political points. As County Commissioner, she focuses on practical solutions that improve safety, strengthen infrastructure, and protect families while respecting taxpayers.
Dianne graduated from Lee High School and has served Midland in many leadership roles, including:
• MISD School Board Trustee
• President, St. Ann’s Parish Council
• District Governor, Rotary International
• Member, Junior League Public Policy Committee
Her approach is rooted in service, responsibility, and results.
Delivering Conservative Infrastructure Wins
Dianne helped secure the designation of Interstate 14 and Interstate 27 through Midland-Odessa. These corridors boost safety, improve freight routes, and strengthen the region’s economy and national security.
She continues working closely with local and state partners to keep Midland connected and competitive.
Standing Up for Taxpayers
When the Horseshoe facility became costly and mismanaged, Dianne took action. She supported bringing operations back under county oversight, restoring fiscal discipline, transparency, and accountability.
Her focus is simple: use taxpayer dollars wisely and keep government efficient.
Protecting Families and Parental Rights
Dianne helped ensure library materials are classified by age and kept inappropriate content out of children's sections. She believes parents deserve a voice in what their kids are exposed to and that public institutions should reflect community values.
Improving Safety Across Midland County
Under Dianne’s leadership, the county has:
• Improved roadway safety along I-20, SH-191, and SH-158
• Supported cleanup initiatives to reduce litter and hazards
• Backed the HERO program, which responds to hundreds of calls each month to keep drivers safe
These efforts help protect families, reduce accidents, and keep Midland moving.
Midland County is a hub for drug and human trafficking, and along with that comes violent crime. The TAG Unit has already produced real results — and Dianne is committed to making sure the City and County continue dedicating the resources needed to support it.
The new Midland County Jail will be completed in November 2026, giving deputies the modern facility they need to operate safely and efficiently. Dianne championed the investment and planning that brought this project to the finish line.
The consolidation of JP Courts, constables, warrant services, and death investigations into a single facility will be complete in October 2026 — one building, better coordination, lower taxpayer costs.
Midland County is growing fast, and right now no one ensures that contractors and builders are following fire and life safety codes — or that event centers stay within fire-code occupancy limits. Dianne wants the County to commit the personnel needed to protect lives and property.
Dianne is focused on planning ahead of Midland County's rapid growth while keeping existing infrastructure — roads, drainage, public facilities — properly maintained. Smart growth means investing where it counts and refusing to fall behind.
Dianne supports plans to expand and secure reliable, affordable water supplies for Eastern and Southern Midland County, recognizing that growth and quality of life depend on it.
Dianne advanced the county flood schematic and is moving drainage projects into design and construction phases, helping protect homes and neighborhoods from future flooding.
